Cool... Amazon sent me a notice that they're finally putting Scarecrow and Mrs. King out on DVD next week (or at least the first season). It'd be great to be able to watch that show again, since they so rarely ever show the reruns on TV.

For those who might be suckered into buying a 3D TV sometime soon...

3D TV prices look reasonable, but it's the glasses that get you

Wow... $600 for 4 pairs of glasses? I'd hate to have a slumber party where the kids all want to watch some 3D movie...

Yeah! I'm supposed to be getting my Scarecrow & Mrs. King DVDs in the mail today. Too bad I work tonight, it's been ages since I've seen the pilot episode (which was 90 minutes long and rarely shown in syndication)...

Summer Glau is filming a tv pilot for NBC she plays a blogger investagating corrupt police officers and is trying to help a former officer clear his name. He was being set up for a crime he didn't commit.

NBC may make time for 24

If Fox cancels the show, that is, and if they're willing to pay the price for it. Personally, I'd let it die a quiet death if I were them. It's been on, what, eight seasons now? Isn't the gimmick of it being the equivalent of one day getting rather old?

Here's a question for you guys: Would you watch the Hawaii Five-O remake, if it's given a green light, given that it's being written by the guys who brought us such classic movies as Transformers and Star Trek, namely, Kurtzman and Orci?

Personally, I don't care who they get to play the lead roles, no one's going to replace the original actors in the show for me. But after seeing on Zap2It that those two are considered a "hot writing team" (and noting that they totally ignore the fact that they got the award for worst screenplay for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in the article on that site), I just had to wonder who, exactly, thinks these guys can actually write, given that their "box office hits" have plot holes you can fly a starship through, what makes anyone think that they can actually write stuff week in and week out for a television show?

I never watched much of the original Hawaii Five-O to begin with, so I probably would not check out the remake - unless it starred a favourite actor of mine or so.

But I agree about Kurtzman and Orci. I don't get why they (and JJ Abrams) should be the best thing since sliced bread in Tinseltown.

Kurtzman & Orci and J.J are highly overrated when it comes to their tv shows and movies. I watched the original Hawaii 5-0 they can't replace the original actors who created them.I've seen a little bit of Lost and Fringe and i don't like them their stories are too weird.
