So, USA is showing a marathon of episodes of this show and, not being motivated to do much today, I decided to give it a try. Obviously, I don't know much about the show since I didn't see the first season but wow, this is a really cool show! I love the smart way the characters are written and the sharp way they deal with the problems.

Looks like I'm gonna have to track down season 1 to watch this show from the beginning.

I guess the ads make it look like a run of the mill spy/action show to me, rather like Alias, which I only ever semi-regularly watched because of Jennifer Garner...

Well, I enjoy it. Much more than Alias which bored me after the first season.

Repeating myself from another thread:

Somehow I got the feeling that Burn Notice would be right up your alley, Rigil!

They're going to finish the season here tomorrow (or is it next week?) and then I hope they start re-runs since I missed the first five episodes or so.

So, they've started airing season two over there?

I have no idea where we're at - this might be season 2, it might not. Remember, I didn't watch it originally, so I'm playing catch up.

It is season 2. It's a cool show. I even got my dad hooked on it. I think he has a little crush on Gabrielle Anwar's character Fiona. ;)

They started airing season two today over here. And look who showed up at the very end as Michael's nemesis but none other than Tricia Helfer, better known as Number Six on nBSG.

You also will see Michael Shanks from SG. His cahracter would be pretty fun by the way. But for me the real showstopper was Tim Matheson who played insane former partnet of Michael Weston which like to kill everybody around when something goes wrong.
God I love this show!

Great episode last night. They really ramped up the Fi/Michael relationship, and I'll be interested in seeing where they go now given the creator has espoused his disdain for the usual 7 season 'will they? won't they' arc common in television. And once again, I desperately want to be Michael Weston when I grow up.

"And also? Your place is on fire." So cool...

Very cool episode. Yeah, it should be intersting to see where they take the Fi and Michael relationship. I actually just finished watching it online because last night I got as far as Fi reading fortune cookies and then two hours later I woke up to some phone sex number commercial with two blondes trying to be (but failing miserably) sexy and seductive. :rolleyesrequest:

Just how often do they show this series, anyway? I notice that they're doing another marathon today (or at least, this is the second or third episode that Dad's watched so far this afternoon that I've heard from my room...) It seems like every other day they're showing yet another marathon of it...

It's on Thurs at 10. This marathon is kinda stupid. They show last week's ep and this past week's ep back 2 back from 11-5. :vulcan:

Well, I'm caught up with season 1. Obtained it from online for very cheap, although it seems more like half of a season or closer to a British "series" than a normal American season - only 11 episodes.

Fantastic show. Oddly enough, though, I find myself not actively "shipping" for Michael and Fi. Those two are so screwed up that I almost don't want them to ultimately be together (unlike, say, TnT or Ziva & Tony).

The first season would have happened during the writers strike I think, so that's probably why there was only 11 eps.

Another really good episode. I swear, this show has rapidly become one of my favorites. Where I watch NCIS for the fantastic character dynamics, I watch BN for the wicked coolness of the main character. For some reason, I have this mental image of Ziva from NCIS watching this show and loving it ...

Glad I didn't fall aspleep this time. :) I love this show. It's one of the few shows I look forward to watching every week, and miss when it's on hiatus.

You weren't kidding about those Saturday episodes, Chris. Even when I was half-asleep yesterday, I still noticed that at least one of the episodes was one of the ones they showed last Saturday... (that one with the sick kid whose Dad gotten taken for a bunch of money by some con artist lady).

Another awesome episode last night. I love this show. For all of my disappointment over how NCIS has turned out this season, Burn Notice has lived up to the hype.

You know, I swear every time my dad watches this show, it's the same two or three episodes. I don't know how many times in the last month and half I've seen that bit with the woman telling the construction worker about how she thinks that she's looking at Mr. January right now, for example...
