I personally think I would have canceled my pre-order long before now if I was this guy: Gaming's oldest pre-order may go unfulfilled Offhand, I'd say that if they haven't put out the game in 12 years, the odds aren't that good that it's going to come out... |

When I looked at the article, I was initially surprised that his GameStop receipt was still legible after all this time...then I realized that it may well predate thermal-receipt technology (the ones that fade after a few years, and are therefore completely useless after that time). Wow. Still, if I were him, I'd be tempted to go back to the store and see if I could get my $10 back -- not so much for the money, but just to see the looks on the staff's faces. Edited by xeyes, 13 May 2009, 11:39.

Sci Fi wire has an article with a clip previewing Star Wars: The Old Republic game, and also this one, previewing the Batman: Arkham Asylum game. |

I begun to play Ghostbusters yesterday, pretty good realisation but unfortunately it didn't allure me enough. (And no Segourney Weaver ). Although the game had it moments of fun. And it was cool to see young Murray, Ramis and Aikroyd again. |

^ What version were you playing? I've read a bunch of reviews from pissed off gamers over at Amazon who weren't happy that the PC version is only single player and supposedly has a bunch of "issues" (though from the sound of it, they aren't listening to the handful who actually pointed out that the main issue they're complaining about--that the installation doesn't finish--can be fixed simply by, you know, using easy install instead of custom install). Still waiting on my copy to arrive, though. Apparently it managed to arrive someplace last night (though where, I have no idea, since it just says arrival scan... for all I know, it could be in Nome, Alaska), so maybe, hopefully, by Wednesday I'll have the game to play myself--I'd really like to have it before Thursday, at any rate, since I'm going to be stuck in a hospital waiting room all day that day anyway, and it would give me something to do there. As long as the game actually plays on my laptop, I'll be happy. I know there's no way it will run on my home computer (it's 4 years old, and doesn't have all the requirements to play), though it probably would work on my mother's computer. |

I tried PC version. I also got a PS2 version hoping it had multiplayer but still didn't try it. |

Only the stupid ones get caught. The smart ones can't be distinguished from legitimate buyers. I see they have a link to the awesome new trailer on IGN, though. Here's a link to a HD version on YouTube. |

I'm sure you guys already have one or the other or both of these systems, but in case you don't for some reason: $400 for a 360 AND PS3? Walmart pre-empts Black Friday |

Heh. Both systems are in my apartment. I own a 360 and one of my roommates owns a PS3. Been playing "Dragon Age: Origins" on my desktop today - the extra RAM I ordered arrived and installation went without a hitch. Unfortunately (because apparently, I really pissed off some karma god somewhere), I think my computer's power supply is inadequate for the demands of the new video card 'cause it now has the tendency to just shut down in the middle of the game. Sigh. I should have just bought the game for the 360... |

^ LOL, well, at least you guys can both play whichever game you want if you don't agree... That sucks about the computer shutting down in the middle of the game. Hopefully you can save it, though, so you don't have to start over from the beginning each time. |

Damn you, Bioware. Damn you ... Just spent the last two days or so in front of my television playing the X-Box 360 version of "Dragon Age: Origins" ... and I'm still not done. Damn you... |

Say, Rigil, did you see that there's a prequel book to this video game? It's called Dragon Age: The Stolen Throne. The link is to the Kindle version (I was looking up best sellers in Sci Fi for the Kindle and it was rated #60 on the list). Apparently the paperback prequel came out last March... |
