You should've skipped it like you said you might last week... ;)

Anyway, here's Ausiello's latest "spoilers" for the show:

Quote:

Question: I think you’re really cool and occasionally awesome. I also think you have the coolest job ever. So anyway, I have a question about NCIS. Any dish on May sweeps? —Annie

Ausiello: Occasionally awesome? This next scoop begs to differ: “Abby will face the biggest dilemma of her professional life,” reveals exec producer/showrunner Shane Brennan, “when she must decide whether to withhold or reveal a secret that could destroy the NCIS team.” Occasionally awesome my arse.

Question: Tiva this, Tiva that. Got any NCIS scoop not connected to those two? —Alexa

Ausiello: There may be trouble in paradise for NCIS‘ hopeless bromantics, McGee and Tony. “We are going to explore McGee and Tony’s relationship a little more in an upcoming episode,” reveals Sean Murray. “They have a very older brother-younger brother type [of] relationship. They protect and tease each other and show off in front of each other. But there is a pecking order, and Tony is on top of it. But he may be challenged by something McGee says or does.”

So it sounds like maybe whatever Abby discovers is the cause of whatever "life-changing decision" that Gibbs makes "that affects the entire team", since you know that she'd tell Gibbs just about anything.

As for the other, eh, so what? It's not 'new' news, because TV Guide apparently reported on this bromance stuff between Tony and McGee (and in greater detail, I might add) already within the last week.

Gee... we get another team with similarities to Gibbs' team in this one. This time it's a lady who leads a CGIS (they're the Coast Guard version of NCIS) team who just happens to be investigating another part of the case. And surprise, surprise she just happens to be the exact same personality type as Gibbs, even down to the head slaps...

And now I've finished watching it, and I can safely say that you did not miss anything important.

Abby was upset because they changed the formula for Caf-Pow (though it was apparently changed back by the end of the episode, which covered about 2 days or so, tops, so what was the point of this whole subplot?), Ducky's still dealing with his mom's death, and Gibbs got to face a lady with a history almost identical to his (even down to her being a former Marine who now runs the Coast Guard equivalent of his own team, and being an only child from a small town--though she's from Ohio rather than Pennsylvania).

The mystery itself was so-so, and most of the episode (whenever the lady was on the screen with any of the NCIS crew) was spent with "let's show how much this lady is like Gibbs" or having people comparing her to Gibbs...

Even though I don't watch this anymore I still keep up to date with it through everyone's posts. This is because I'm still holding onto that little bitty glimmer of hope that someone will some day post how awesome the show is again because they got someone who knows what they're doing or because a certain someone has gotten his head out of his butt and started writing intelligent characters, relationships, and storylines. Although I'm not holding my breath.

There was one nice little Tony/Ziva scene at the end, where I believe they were sitting in MTAC, with their drinks, and Tony was showing her an old silent movie, The Black Pirate, where Ziva looked at Tony after they both claimed that their respective dates had canceled and that was the only reason why they were there with the other...

Well, I appreciate the update. Seems like indeed I didn't miss anything, although I would have liked to watch that TIVA scene.

In case you were wondering, you didn't miss anything tonight if you didn't watch the episode. It was a rerun of the Mike Franks episode from this season.

I saw the press release for the 20th episode of the season on another site (it's basically just the two line description you'd see in TV Guide, with a listing of the cast and some of the crew for that particular episode). Apparently the polygraph lady from earlier in the season who had the crush on McGee is back in that episode...

Anyway, two of the characters in that particular episode are named simply "Bill" and "Ted" in the cast list. How much do you want to bet that Tony cracks at least one joke about Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure during the episode?

I actually liked "Jurisdiction" because it felt more like old school NCIS than the show has since "Ignition." Ironic, actually, that the two episodes with the worst promos turned out to be some of the better episodes of the season. Highlight for me was Ziva's comment "real monkeys?" in the storage locker thing. Didn't think the final Tony/Ziva movie scene was all that since I actually believe her remark about her date canceling being the only reason she was there, but that's probably 'cause the show has ruined the Tiva ship for me.

As to the Ashley Scott thing, I find myself actually hoping to see Ziva get jealous for a change because I am so freaking sick of Jealous!Tony this year. The guy doesn't even flirt anymore since Tim has apparently taken over the job as "Team Playa."

Saw that Paris flight episode today. I actually thought it was pretty good, and had some nice Tiva moments. Alas, by now I know that's only TPTB teasing with us, and that it won't mean much in the grand scheme of things.

And do they really transport such important people as that witness on a commercial flight?

Dina Meyer looked good as usual, but she was there too briefly.

I seem to recall Rigil mentioning at the time that episode aired here that if her testimony was that vital to some military investigation, that they probably would've stuck her on a military flight home, rather than mess with civilian airlines.

ETA: Re: Diana--she's back in another episode later in the season (I forget the name at the moment, it hasn't aired over here yet), which deals with her giving the team some advice or help or something when they have a case that focuses in on her area of expertise...

I think it's next week's episode she returns. And I just got next week's tv guide today and there's another NCIS article entitled 'For the Love of Gibbs'. I haven't read it but apparentlly there's some big battle between the Dina Meyer and Rena Sofer characters for Gibb's heart. Since I don't actually watch anymore I don't know. Is there? It's not up at tv guide's main site yet because I was going to post it here, maybe in the next few days.

Not as far as I know. It's probably something from that particular episode--maybe the lawyer lady is jealous over the time he's spending with the other one or something. From what I recall (and that's not much, KTR would have the freshest memory of that episode), there wasn't really much of a spark between Gibbs and her either, though what was there was more than what was between him and the lawyer lady...

I just glanced at the article and I immediately saw this quoate by Sofer: "This is one of the few shows on television that doesn't treat it's audience like idiots." :guffaw:

Yeah, that is good for a laugh... she must be watching old reruns or something on cable, because she sure isn't watching the past 2 or 3 seasons.

Yup! Not much, if any, sparks between Gibbs and Dina Meyer's character. She'd be better of trying out Tony. That'd make Ziva jealous...

I'm sick of either one of them being jealous... Would it kill the writers to have them act like mature adults?

Anyway, new episode today? Should I set my DVR?
