And I know you're not going to like this one either, KTR (besides the fact that Emmerich is directing, I mean): Emmerich to steal Avatar tricks for 3D Foundation |

I know she died in the first film, but really, Wanted 2 without Angelina won't work. (I reserve the right to change my mind if they cast Jolene.) |

Oh, God! Please no! I can accept that they of course will have a lot of CG backdrops, but 3D!? :wtf: And this passage doesn't bode well:
Does that mean even the characters will be CGI, like in Beowulf? If so, for Seldon's sake, why? There are no aliens in Foundation. Only the Mule might be a reason to do as a CGI character. Gah! |

I think this movie wouldn't work with or without Jolie. First Wanted was barely watchable. But for Jolene I probably will make an exception  Edited by sipovic, 3 Mar 2010, 07:49.

Latest bad guy role for Mickey Rourke: War of the Gods Okay... I'm just trying to figure out what the heck the plot is supposed to be in this. The way it reads, Theseus is leading mortal men into battle against the Greek gods (ie, Zeus, Hera, etc.) in order to defeat the Titans (Kronos, Rhea, Atlas, etc.), which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever... I can understand if he's joining the Greek gods in their fight against the Titans, but fighting the gods to stop the Titans (who, presumably, have somehow escaped their various and sundry imprisonments that the Greek gods imposed on them after they defeated them the first time)? The gods and the Titans are two different groups... *shakes head in bewilderment* |

While I mostly agree with them not remaking these movies, I don't know much about the stories that are suggested instead. Don't Remake These 21 Movies, Film These Books Instead! |

I can safely say that I've never heard of the vast majority of their alternates either, and I think that might, perhaps, answer their question of why they haven't been made into movies... Though I admit the one about about the guy who has the nanotech implants by that Mark Van Name guy sounds like it might be interesting. I might have to see if that one's available to be read on my Kindle. ETA: Well, I checked, and not one of his books in that series is available for a Kindle yet (though I clicked on the links to check all of them). Though I see that they're all published by Baen books, which doesn't as a rule put their books on the Kindle (they prefer to sell them from their own site instead). And checking there, they do have the first three books available on their site for a reasonable price, so maybe I'll get them. Edited by Jedikatie, 6 Mar 2010, 14:06.
