Nope, the U.S. is on the 9th Doctor. Doctor # 1 - William Hartnell 2 - Patrick Troughton 3 - Jon Pertwee 4 - Tom Baker 5 - Peter Davison 6 - Colin Baker 7 - Sylvester McCoy 8 - Paul McGann (in the Fox movie) 9 - Christopher Eccleston We only just started the Chris Eccleston's adventures last month on Sci Fi, anyone over here who has seen anything past that has acquired it by other means or else lives outside the U.S. 10 - David Tenant (current doctor in the UK) |

I'm a happy camper. I found in the dealer's room all of season 1 on DVD, and the Christmas Invasion with 14 BBC interviews. I can see happy viewing tomorrow night. |

I meant season 1 of the new version of Doctor Who, the one with Chris Eccleston. And the Christmas Invasion thing from last December as well. Sorry about that. I'm just thrilled that I don't have to worry about the VCR possibly maybe having cut out last Friday thanks to the storms in our area, before the show aired, since it was part 2 of the Aliens in London/World War III airing last week. My VCR has a tendency whenever there's a tenth of a second power surge to our house to turn off and need reset, even if nothing else in the house (or for that matter, on the same outlet) needs set again. |

Yeah, I saw it... a few days ago on the, um, DVDs I bought at the con and again last night on Sci Fi. It was pretty good. Though I think I still prefer the Daleks from the old series, this one just wasn't quite the same. Nice laser for zapping people, though. And interesting to see a Dalek in conflict with itself after its regeneration and asking qeustions... This Doctor's definitely darker than the others, but then, he's responsible for all the Daleks and Time Lords' and whoever else's deaths, isn't he? Would definitely put a damper on his spirit, I'd think. |

Hmmm... I've watched everything but the season finale (well, and the Christmas Invasion) of the new series now. Got to say, they did an excellent job of setting up the finale. And I most definitely loved the Doctor's response, but I'll be good and keep quiet since that isn't airing for a couple of months yet on Sci Fi. I'm debating whether I should watch the finale and just forget about the new episode of JLU that's on tonight. |

I completely agree with you there. The hints that keep showing up were extremely well done and I rather liked the final episode of this "season". Unfortunately, I have not seen the Christmas Invasion yet... :hissyfit: |

I watched the finale. Still not too sure whether I like Rose or not, though I do like her better than Peri. But that's not hard to do, I despised Peri (companion of the sixth Doctor, for those who don't know her). The finale was pretty good. I'll watch the Christmas invasion tomorrow, after we send my niece off to her other grandparents' house in Cincinnati. Then I have to go through and watch all those Doctor Who confidentials and the like I skipped over to watch the episodes... Does anyone know if they're going to show the Christmas invasion as part of this season of shows on Sci Fi, or are they going to make it part of next? |

Oh my... I think you'll like the Christmas Invasion, Rigil, when you get to see it. And you get a preview of the next season episodes at the end of it. |

Well, traditionally, the episode immediately following a Regeneration is really, really weak so I'm hoping that this ep can break that habit. As much as I liked the Fourth Doctor, that Robot episode after he regenerated absolutely sucked and was easily one of my least favorite involving him. In retrospect, I'm kind of wishing I had picked up these eps on DVD at Vulkon myself... |

I still can't believe that idiot Adam thought that just because he went up half a flight of stairs that they would be safe from the Dalek in that last episode. Even if the Dalek hadn't been able to negotiate the stairs (and really, if he'd have thought about it, he should have realized that they most likely encounted stairs at some point in their encounters with other species and would have come up with a way around it), standing there taunting it when it still has a very operational laser and a clear sight of you isn't the brightest thing in the world... And I definitely give the rest of the season a , along with the Christmas Invasion. Can't wait to see the next season now. :) |

Sort of OT, but did anyone else know that the 10th Doctor was in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire? I didn't realize it until I read it in a thread on the other board. I watched the movie on DVD again (which I bought several months ago and hadn't gotten around to actually watching until yesterday) and as soon as he came on the screen, I immediately recognized him... I thought he did a pretty good job in it. |

Yeah, his name was only listed in the rolling credits at the very end (though he's listed third there, since it goes by order of appearance), not in the floating wispy bits of paper part of the credits. |
