Frell! Farscape creator teases us about comics, webisodes

Not much there, but hey, I didn't know that Rockne had a Twitter feed... now I'm going to have to add him as someone to follow...

I just finished Crackers Don't Matter. This is one I've always liked it's got the comedy and some darkness to it. Some favorite scenes are the shoot out with Aeryn and John and when Crichton is suiting up in that ridiculous outfit to go after T'raltixx. I wonder how many times they had to shoot that scene before they could do it with straight faces. :) The scene with John and Chianna was extremely disturbing. It made you wonder how far he could have really gone if he continued to be effected by T'raltixx.

The Way We Weren't: This was an excellent episode, one of my favorites. Reading the Season 2 companion for this episode Claudia Black recalled how exhausted she was at the end of each day when shooting this episode. I believe it. She went through so many emotions. It's amazing how when I was watching Pilot I didn't think about how it's a puppet. The puppeteers and Lani Tupu doing Pilot's voice didn't an amazing job.

Picture If You Will: This one I wasn't crazy about mainly because Maldis is back and he really gives me the creeps. It wasn't a total loss though. There were a couple nice scenes with John and Aeryn. We start to see something starting between D'Argo and Pip. And that part where Pilot tells Aeryn to kill Kyvan and get out and she does it without question was funny.

LOL, I think you've gotten ahead of both KTR and me now, Chris. The last one I remember rewatching was Crackers Don't Matter last August...

:) I noticed that too. I've really enjoyed watching it again from the beginning. Even though a few of the episode plotlines aren't that great you still get to see the characters' relationships and personalities grow and change.

I can't believe I did this especially since I have all four season already but I went and bought the series box set back in December for under $60. It must of been a special price for Christmas because it went back to $100 at the beginning of the year. I checked it just now and it's back to the same price I paid. I definitely like the way they did this set than all the separate seasons. The look of the main menu and the other features is a lot nicer. I haven't really watched any of the extras yet but I will eventually.

I'll have to start watching again...

So how many discs were in the box set you bought at Christmas? It'd be nice not to have an entire shelf taken up by just Farscape DVDs on my DVD rack... oh, and does it include Peacekeeper Wars?

There's 5 or 6 discs for each season and I'm not even sure how many discs there are for the extra bonus features I haven't opened that one yet. I think size wise the set is smaller than one season. That's one reason I bought it. There's been complaints because they didn't do anything fancy with the packaging. But I think they did a nice job. Each season is protected in its own plastic dvd case, with a picture of one of the characters on the front and the other bonus features has its own case, with Rygel on the front, and then it's in a simple box that closes up. I don't see any problems with the way it was done. And no Peacekeeper Wars is not included because A&E did this newest set and PKW is still owned by Hallmark or it was something like that.

Ah. Still, I've got PKW on its own DVD, so that's not really a problem... Mostly I'd like to get rid of season 1, which takes up the majority of the room (I bought the versions that originally came out, with two episodes per disc, so there were eleven separate DVDs because they didn't come out with a season 1 set until sometime, I think, after season 2 came out. And then for the remaining three seasons I got the individual season sets.) Anyway, that's why it takes up so much space on my DVD rack, so having something a lot smaller would be nice...

But it'll have to wait, unfortunately, for at least another month before I could get it. I spent the limit of what I'm willing to spend in a given month on my credit card (short of me winning big at bingo, at any rate) with that eye exam, glasses and contacts yesterday...

Yup, I've been overtaken now. For some reason I failed to keep up my rewatching after my vacation.

I looked through the box set. Each season has 6 discs and then there's 2 discs with more special features.

ETA: Size wise it's the width of three of the dvd cases for one season.

I must have Farscape on the brain. :) Last night I had a dream that I was part of the crew. We went down to some dark deserted planet and ended up being chased by giant tornadoes. They picked us off one by one. I was the last one to go and of course once I got picked by one of them I woke up.

LOL... I don't suppose Crichton was cracking jokes about it being the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, was he? ;)

You know, I'm kind of feeling like skipping ahead past the other episodes and going straight to Peacekeeper Wars since it's been a good long while since I last watched it. I might do that tonight, since there's nothing else on that I want to watch...

I had to look at older posts to see what I last watched because it's been three months. I think I'll start watching it again after I watch the Star Wars movies.

Love this bit:

Aeryn: If this were a Sebacean child, a pure one, it would have been born already. How long is this going to take?
John (hesitates): Well, on Earth, it could take days.
Aeryn: I have killed men for less.

And this:

Crichton (to Chiana): The baby's head is up, it needs to be down. Don't make any structural changes.

And of course this:

Ahkna (holding a weapon to Crichton's throat): At least you die. (shot fired; Ahkna and Crichton look to his left)
Aeryn (pointing gun at Ahkna): It's a boy, in case you wondered. (Ahkna dies)
