No, I don't think it'd be accurate to say that. I still have too many problems with the "Stargate template" that they use in the show and, apart from Rodney McKay and the Scottish doctor, I don't really care much for the characters. As to the rest of your questions, someone with some actual SG:A knowledge will have to step in and answer them... |

As for why Sam Carter, that's easy--she had another year on her contract, so they decided to move her over to Atlantis. I believe that she was the only one who did have the extra year, though don't quote me on that. That way they can pull in the Sam fans and hopefully bolster SGA. As for Torri, I've no idea if her fans were as upset or not. I'm not really into either of the Stargates myself. I only watch the Atlantis episodes with Connor in them, excepting 3 episodes I watched just to get some idea what the heck was going on and who these people were before his first episode aired, and I stopped watching SG1 after season 5 aired in syndication (and only watched about 4 episodes of season 6 on Sci Fi, which had that going before the syndicated season 5 came out, just to confuse all of us who didn't have access to Showtime). |

Cast changes in store for season 5 Not a surprise about Robert Picardo, after all, Amanda only had one year left on her contract she'd signed when SG1 was still on the air, and they'd pretty much announced that months ago. And I'm not really surprised that Paul will be back playing Dr. Beckett (or his clone, at least) in five episodes, since it was pretty clear that they intended to bring him back at the end of the last episode he was in, what with sticking him in stasis. Those who like Dr. Weir, however, are going to be disappointed... |

Thanks for the update. I'm really curious to find out how they wrap the lose ends from the season 4 finale in July. I'm Glad that certain characters will be back next season. Too bad about Tori though.Roberto Picardo being in the series was mentioned in the Ark of truth movie. |

Well, at least Jewel Staite is going to be a regular! Otherwise I haven't been that impressed with season four. And I actually miss Dr Weir! :( |

Atlantis focuses on the Wraith in season 5 Pity they didn't mention Michael in that article, since they were talking about the Wraith. I heard he's going to be in more than one episode next season (though why that would surprise anyone is beyond me, Michael's been in at least 2 episodes every season since he was introduced in season 2). Though I'm pretty sure it's going to be a funny scene when Rodney delivers Teyla's baby... |

Nice to see more shows about the wraith. But it seems strange they don't mention Micheal at all. I'm sorry Dr. weir's character won't be in season 5. |

Michael. That's another thing that has disappointed me about season 4. He was originally a complex and interesting character, but now he's just another run-of-the-mill villain. |

In the new TV Guide they have Jason Mamoa without his dreds. He cut them off. He said they weighed 6 pounds and they were beginning to give him neck problems. He still has to wear a wig for the show, said the wig is heavier than the real thing was. He's hoping to convince the producers to let his character go without the dreds. |

:vulcan: Someone at another board said they watched the season 5 opener. Does Canada show Stargate Atlantis earlier than the sci-fi channel in the U.s.? |

^ There is a torrent for that episode out there, dubbed a "preair", from two days ago, so it's probably a copy sent to some station for later broadcasting that someone got hold of. |

For those who were hoping that Dr. Weir might return, it looks like you won't get to see that happen (from Sci Fi Wire): Atlantis' Higginson bows out |

And for those who haven't been paying attention, the new season of Stargate: Atlantis begins tonight. And features the conclusion to last season's cliffhanger and has the wraith Michael (Connor Trinneer) in it... |

I watched the season premeiere it wasn't bad I liked the scenes with Teyla and Micheal. Rodney I liked the part he played in helping Teyla's deliver baby.Micheal wish we'd had more scenes with him. There was alot more story than could be told in an hour show.Like why did they recall Samnatha Carter. The ending was too abrupt with Woolsy and Sam's conversation seemed to be cut off.
