So I saw this screen manip of Zachary Quinto (Sylar on Heroes) as Spock on a site that indicated he is trying to get the job. Simply based on appearance, I've gotta say that I like it... Posted Image |

Interesting news Chrisis thanks for the link there's been a lot of news about this movie at trekmovie and Trekweb and othersites the last few days. Gary Sinese is a great actor Apollo 13 is one of my favorite movies. I like the fact David Orci said thay weren't going to remake Kirk & Spock's & McCoy's character's like the new Batlestar Galactica. That as a fan of TOS he emphatically talked about how the story would be dealing with events that affect all of us.The war on terrorism was one of the things he talked about in the interview I read at Trekmovie and Trekweb. |

Quinto and Leonard Nimoy were at comicon and they are going to apapear i tne new trek movie Quinto as the younger Spock and Nimoy as the older Spock. Abrams doesn't have an actor for Kirk yet and still wants Shatner to play kirk in this movie. |

Dammit, I was hoping they'd go with Adrien Brody as Spock instead of going with someone for the name recognition. :oscar: |

Well at first I was not happy about Quinto as Spock. His only role which I saw was in 3rd season "24" as some computer programmer. Not very impressive. But as more I look at his picture as more I thinking that it's not the worst choise. He may be not famous as Brody, but he looks very familiar to original Spock. Let's just hope that he's a good actor and not just """a similar face" |

*Shudder* Sci Fi wire is reporting a rumor that Abrahms is trying to get Tom Cruise to guest star in this movie as Capt. Christopher Pike... *shudder* I cannot stand Tom Cruise, I disliked like him from the time when he first became popular (I look at this way: I beat the crowd who started disliking him after he went looney tunes the past few years). Here's the article. |

Anton Yelchin he was in Alpha Dogs. I've never heard of this actor before. here's the link http://www.comingsoon.net/news/startreknews.php?id=23126 |

I really think they are trying to bring Star Trek to a younger audience and make it viable again. Which could possibly be good... |

I was thinking about the Chekov rumour. How can they even have Chekov in this movie? It supposedly takes place before TOS, and Chekov didn't show up until season two when he was a fresh young ensign. He would be 10-15 years in the timeframe of this movie. |
