Starkiller was the name Lucas used for the hero and his family in his drafts and scripts for the original movie (ANH). IIRC, it was only during early shooting that he changed it to Skywalker. Nothing needed to be re-shot because the name hadn't been said on screen yet in the shooting schedule.

So, would you recommend the game to someone else (in spite of your misgivings)? One of the guys at work, Don, last night was telling me that he wants to buy it and was asking if I knew if the game was worth it or not (he absolutely loved KotOR, which is why he wants this game too).

As long as he goes into it knowing that it can't hold a candle to the awesomeness that was Knights of the Old Republic. It's fun, but I'd recommend him renting it first to see if he actually enjoys it enough to shell out the bucks for it.

I have some larger images/screencaps from this game that I found:

The Force Unleashed 01

The Force Unleashed 02

Don said that when he goes to GameStop sometime this week (after I told him about your suggestion of renting it first to see if he really wants the game), that he'll see how many copies they have used. If they've got a lot, then he won't bother with it...

Neat... I was looking through the games available for download to my phone this afternoon, and there's a version of The Force Unleashed for $5.99 for it... :) Probably not as good as the real version, but at least I can play it...

ETA: Hmm... it's harder than it looks to play this on my phone... but I'll figure it out. It would help if they quit giving me tips, though and interrupting the action.

I got to get used to paying attention to whatever the little design is above the bad guys on this cell phone version of this game in order to kill them.

Though at least it isn't interrupting every five seconds today to tell me to weaken this guy's defenses (when I'm in the middle of doing what they were telling me to do in the first place)...

ETA: Though it would be nice if it actually changed scenes, however. It's kind of boring fighting in the same place over and over again...
