Speaking of, am I doing a adequate job of keeping the exact nature of that relationship ambiguous? I mean, I know that you've got a good idea of what's going on since you've seen the Tyranny Reborn outline, but I'm unsure if I'm revealing too much or not... |

^ I think so. There's nothing blatant that screams 'yes, they're romantically involved' (other than what the gossipmongers and Leia think they know) in their actions, but there's enough there that you can see them being more than just friends... if they want to be. Not sure if I explained that right (I suck at explaining that kind of stuff), but yeah, I think you're doing fine as far as that goes. |

Chapter 5 of Sidereal is up. Consider it my first real foray into minor comedy... |

:cookiemonster: I read the first 2 chapters of your story the other day and liked how you wrote Luke and Mara and how he cheered her up when she was in a foul mood. I like thhis new spin of the story taking place right after the Admiral thrawn novels. |

:guffaw: That was pretty funny, Rigil... poor, poor Luke... and I pity the reporter who wrote that bit of tabloid news if Mara gets her hands on them. Wonder if Leia had a fit when she saw that headline and the picture (or if she even noticed that the picture was from the night before and what was really going on...) |

I'm really glad this turned out as well as it did. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to do my mental image justice since "comedy" really isn't my forte. Though I must admit, it was pretty easy to channel the guy teasing since me and my non-online friends are positively brutal to one another... |

^ You did fine. :) I could picture it just fine, as if I watching a scene from a movie... and I dearly would love to have seen both Luke and Mara's faces on screen when they realized what that picture was of... and Han's cocky little grin as well, since he'd already know the joke. I take it that Chewie wasn't at the dinner, though, since he apparently didn't recognize the photo? Or was he just playing along as well? |

Well, somebody had to watch the twins while Han and Leia were out.
:P But nah, I had this amusing mental image of it basically appearing to Han and Leia like they were "double dating" with Luke and Mara, neither of whom saw it as a romantic dinner, thus continuing the misconceptions that swirl around the latter. Believe it or not, I'm actually already done with Sidereal, though I'm still making minor tweaks and adjustments. Chapter 1 of Tyranny Reborn is done and I'm cruising along with Chapter 2. I figure I better get what I can get done now since the week after next, I'll be back in school with an upper division summer course which will probably consume any and all of the free time I possess... |

^ Congrats. :) Good luck with getting as much done as you can before school starts. And if you space out the chapters enough over the summer (I don't know how long your summer class is, when I took 'em in college, each one was three weeks, but it was also 3.5 hours a day, five days a week), you could potentially make it last long enough until you're out of school and can focus on writing the story more. :) |

This will be, I believe, an eight week course, Monday through Thursday, 1 hour and 15 minutes a day. The professor doesn't teach those half-semester courses and we'll probably be pushing it for time to finish as it is... |

^ I actually had 10 week quarters at my school, so I took three three-week courses during that particular summer. Western Civ, Anthropology and something to do with Rome--I forget exactly what that one was called--though we covered the writer Juvenal in it, I remember that much... Still, if you get enough written, you might be able to stretch it over at least a good portion of the summer. While there might be some grumbling because you're keeping them waiting, most people will understand that you've got stuff in RL that takes precedence as far as your time. |

^ Sorry, I totally missed that you had updated the story... LOL... knew Han could figure that alias out. Poor Han, caught in the middle between his wife and his brother-in-law. Loved Mara's take-charge of the situation attitude. I wouldn't argue with the scary lady either, LOL, so I don't blame Han for jumping when she tells him to do something... |

LOL... Poor Luke, stuck hiding by the plants because of overzealous female admirers... and I was also laughing at the (time-honored) tradition of giving the most obnoxious toys possible to the children of relatives that you're not going to be stuck taking care of for longer than a few hours at most... Nice to see that some things are constant in the universe. Though I am wondering why Mon Mothma's daughter hates him so. Did he turn her down or something? Can't wait to see who it was that touched the Force that strongly that it caught the attention of ever Force user at the party... |

I was channeling myself there. Both of my sisters hate it when I purchase gifts for their respective kids 'cause I go out of my way to find loud, obnoxious toys for them. Alas, those kids are getting too old for the best toys now... It was just something I thought would be amusing when I tumbled upon the mention of Lieda at wookieepedia. I'm not sure how in depth I'll go, but there is a history between the two. Suffice to say, she wanted something that Luke wasn't able to provide. I'll leave it up to your imagination to determine exactly what that something was... |

I already gave you my comments for this chapter, but still, I love the foreboding ending... 'When next we meet, everthing will be different...' If that doesn't make 'em come back for more, nothing will. ;) Anyone scream bloody murder over the ending yet,? |
