The only characters I really like on Galactica are Helo, Boomer and their Baby girl hera.

Well, I just watched the new episode ... and frankly, it stunk. There was, IMO, nothing remotely interesting in this episode. Nothing. It was 40+ minutes of what amounts to filler. And to top it off, it was flat out dull.

Sigh. Alas, BSG. I miss you. Once, you were the show I looked forward to the most. Now ... now I don't much care.

Sigh.

I skipped watching part 2 of the season premiere I don't like Starbuck and her ranting about Earth and screaming like a banshee in the preview was a big turnoff.

I was also very bored with episode 4x02. Remind me why we should care about any of these people? I was frankly more concerned for the fate of the Cylon raiders than I was for any of the Colonials.

Well, that's something, I guess. Based on how it was received at HoT, I was starting to wonder if it was just me ...

From the reaction I've seen about season 4 it seems people don't like it and think it sucks from the comments I've read on other boards.I tired of Baltar and Starbuck they're nothing likeable about them . :puke:

Well, they seem to like it at HoT, so not everyone thinks it sucks.

And I've now seen episode 4x03 and I still haven't changed my mind about the show. Never cared much for Cally so her fate didn't move me. Apollo as a polictican... yawn! I find that the most interesting things happen with the Cylons and what now amounts to a civil war.

You know what's really sad? I've had 4x03 on my DVR since Friday and I still haven't gotten around to watching it. That says it all, doesn't it?

Kinda sad, isn't it? I just now watched this episode ... and it kind of sucked. The whole thing felt like filler. And it was really sad, I thought, that I was looking forward to the Lee Adama political scenes over the A Plot.

I remember when I liked this show...

No, they really don't seem to be making very good use of what limited time they have, do they?

What's far, far worse IMO is that what they are doing is boring. I could maybe cut them a break if the filler was exciting, but all three of the episodes this season have just dragged on and on and on without a purpose. Admittedly, the space battle at the beginning of 4x01 was keen, but the rest of it? Blech.

And this whole Cally thing just came out of nowhere. Once again, I feel like there has been two or three episodes of character development intended to explain how she got to this point that I missed. I get that they have a limited amount of time, but it's like the out of nowhere Lee/Sensor!Girl romance a couple of seasons ago.

I think I may have to watch the mini-series again to remind myself what good nuBSG was like...

That's what I mean - they waste time they could be spending on developing character things on other boring things instead, and they only have like a dozen episodes left.

Maybe it'll be like a Stephen King book: it'll drag on and on and then BAM! Final episode will try to cram everything in it, thus disappointing everyone.

Considering how they've done things before (Pegasus, for example), that's entirely possible.

:rolleyesrequest: The stuff with Cally just seem to come out of left field it was unecessary to kill her chatracter off. I think the writers are making poor choices about the story arcs and the characters Baltar just ick they should've killed his character off already.

This one sort of felt like another filler episode, which is a bit disappointing, especially with the weekly promises of "all will be revealed".

I'm glad that the Chief finally called Adama on threatening to put Cally up against the wall and shoot her, but I'm really disappointed that the writers seem to be doing the same thing to Tyrol that they did to Cally. Basically what I mean by that is that now he's whiny and unsympathetic just like they've made Cally since last season.

The Baltar sub-plot is mildly interesting. The jar-ines sure did get there fast when Baltar interrupted that temple service though, didn't they? :P Tory is just taking on all kinds of weirdness in the meantime though. Apparently she's an S&M freak on top of everything else.

I didn't find Tigh's sub-plot all that interesting. I think that having him talk to the Chief about losing his wife was a nice tie-in, but the hallucinations with Six were ... I don;t know, they didn't suck exactly, but they just weren't all that interesting either. :-\

I think the most interesting parts of this episode were the politics, and the way Roslin pushed through legislation by using fear mongering. I have to say that Lee is becoming my new favorite of the characters, though sadly this is pretty much by default. I'm also sympathetic to Baltar, though I kind of have been since he was captured last season. Also interesting was that they showed tangible evidence of Baltar's Six, as if she was some invisible force holding him up - clearly not entirely just inside his head. I guess this partially explains how he was able to see the version of himself that Caprica Six had been seeing.
