Well, like I said, the one time I've seen the trailer for Get Smart was before the last Harry Potter movie last July, so it's been awhile... I wasn't too thrilled with the last Hulk movie. |

New trailer for the X-Files 2 movie is here. It's debatable whether I'm actually going to see this since I was never that big a fan of the show - I think I stopped watching it around season 3 or so... |

While I was a huge X-Files fan back in the day, I gave up on the show about the time of the eighth season. If they had put out this movie five years ago, I might have been still interested enough to see it, but not now. |

:rolleyesrequest: Dreamwatch website had news there's going to be another Bill & Ted movie that's going to be realeased on dvd, It sure seems like the studios are doing alot of remakes or updates of old 1980's and 90's movies lately.War games I saw it advertised on tv. |

The trailer for the new Mummy movie is up over at Yahoo... The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor There's options for regular or HD versions of the trailer on that page. At least it has Jonathan in it... :) I like Jonathan. |

I hope that a new Flash Gordon movie would be better than that awful show on sci-fi . At Dark Horizons they had a news story saying Vigo Mortinsen and the actor who played Gollum have been contacted to be in meetings for the preproduction filming plans for the Hobbit. At least they're finally starting to work on this movie. |

Another one who has joined the cast is a female lead played by someone with the weird name Moon Bloodgood. I still find it odd that they'll go with this version when there's another one made for TV, and they really don't mesh.
I really hope they will have learned from Sci-Fi's mistake and stay true to Alex Raymond's vision. |

Heatstroke The guys who brought us Farscape are doing this movie. So, even though it's the Sci-fi Channel hopefully it won't be completely horrible. B) But it's about an ex-model and a commando who fight aliens causing global warming, so.....yeah. :vulcan: |

^ Ah, good to see FrooniumRicky and DK, and even Andrew Prowse working again... :) And since it says that Ricky's one of the writers, I'm sure that it will have a crazy twist in there (besides what's listed in the promo, that is). After all, he was the guy who wrote my favorite episode of an old show called Shadow Chasers, which lasted all of 9 episodes against The Cosby Show back in the mid-80s, in which they "exorcised" the ghosts from the hotel who had taken over one of the show's leads by using an "aerobic exorcist" who "exercised" them... Believe me, it was funny to watch... Now, as long as they avoid the Sci Fi channel's traditional solution to solving the various crises in these B-movies of theirs, namely "let's use nukes to stop whatever it is, be it a black hole, supernova, the Pacific Plate from destroying the earth, etc.," it'll probably be good... |

But... but... what will Al Gore say? This undercuts his entire argument that humans cause global warming! |

You know, I was very fond of both Escape to Witch Mountain and Return from Witch Mountain when I was a kid... they were both corny Disney movies--I admit it--but I still liked them. Tony and Tia were the best, in my book, and I probably saw those two Disney movies more than any other as a kid--they showed one of them every year we went to COSI for the Girl Scout sleepover there, they showed it a couple of different times when I was at school, too. Not to mention the repeat showings on the Disney Sunday movie... I don't see why Disney has to constantly remake the same stories, over and over (even if they do update it a bit--heck they did three updates of The Parent Trap alone, not to mention all the different times they've redone The Shaggy Dog over the years)... yet they're doing it again, this time with Escape to Witch Mountain, which has been renamed Race to Witch Mountain. Why can't they just leave something alone for once? :( Though I imagine I could talk my best friend into seeing the remake if I wanted to... after all, it stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (he's basically playing the same role that Eddie Albert played in Escape--the guy who's getting the kids back to the mountain). |
