Hi guys... Many forums such as ours are being switched to the new "Zeta Board" system. Ours will be as well at some point... hope sooner rather than later, however I strongly suggest that you make a bookmark for the actual board web address... http://s12.invisionfree.com/Brunette_Jolene/ which is the exact internal root Board address because when the change over occurs I will have to manually redirect the www.wewantbrunettejolene.com to the new board's root address. Using the actual root addresss in the link above will result in you being linked to the new zeta board with an auto redirect. It should not take me very long to redirect our proper web address to the new zeta board anyway. There is currently no time table for this although since its going to happen anyway I have requested it be done sooner rather than later. Zeta Boards have a pile of new and improved features for both Admins and the Members. More ways to link other file types such as youtube windows...etc My understanding is that our entire Board will convert including old posts... current topics and sections... and all PMs in your PM folder. Apparently the graphics used on the board may not switch over... thats OK though it will be a good time to change things up as far as the board style anyway. Thats what supposed to happen anyway. the Board may be down during the actual change over. This could be weeks away anyway. :empire: :empire: :empire: |

Interesting ... but I wonder if perhaps this early notice should be moved to the "Say Hello" board and stickied. We do have a number of lurkers, after all. |

Well, the change over to the zeta boards has clearly taken place ... unfortunately, we currently only have options for the theme provided by the boards (which, IMO, is bugly). |

Don't worry, I'm sure chris will fix it back to our usual look once he comes on. They did the changeover at a weird time--it was just a little before 11:30 pm EDT, though I give them credit, it went very quickly. But yeah, there's some differences between this new board and the old one. Like the presence of the fast reply box at the bottom of a thread. For PMs, all replies to a single PM are grouped together, instead of separate, so you can keep track of who said what in your conversations a little easier. A list of subforums for those forums who have them are now available on the board index page, instead of having to click the forum you want and then click the subforum to get to the threads within it. There's some others, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Oh, and they changed our standard yellow smileys that came with the board to blue smileys now... ETA: Oh, and they rearranged where the reply, edit, quote, etc. buttons are on posts... Edited by Jedikatie, 29 May 2008, 05:58.

Oh, forgot to mention, you don't get email notification of PMs anymore. However, you can have a little box pop up with a note that you got a new PM (you have to set that using PM system settings on the PM page, it's not in your regular control panel)... |

Once you've visited a thread, when you click on it again it appears that you're automatically taken to the last unread post. Patience, please ... we were caught by surprise at the change as well. |

One thing I certainly don't like is being unable to change the time to the 24H system I've gotten accustomed since I started using it back in 9th grade. Now, when I look at the time and 8:24, my first thought is "is it really that early?" The eyes skim right over the PM ... I'd rather see 20:24, thank you very much... |

Whether the clock uses military or civilian time doesn't really matter to me. I can figure out the military time easily enough (had to use it enough times when I was filling out time sheets at the one job), so whichever everyone wants is fine by me. And yes, the Sith theme is cool. :) |
