^ Well, I don't actually log out, so I've never actually noticed if it does that or not... *** Totally OT, but did you finish that V novel yet, Chris? I'm curious to hear what you think of it... |

I have a signout tab at the top of the screen next to my user name. top frame of the board over the banner. I click it and then get a message to confirm. Once thats done if I refreash my screen I am signed out. My understanding is that Zeta Boards are a bit more intrusive into your internet cache (cookies) due to some features such as remembering the last topic that you read in a certain post....etc. If this does not work for you then sign out, confirm, and then empty your cache and delete internet cookies... that should do it. I've been clicking on the Sign Out tab. I don't get a confirmation box, the page reloads and I'm still signed in. But like I said above it's no big deal. :D It just never happened before on this sit. |

Just so you know, apparently "Today's posts" has been renamed "Active Topics", and the Zeta board people have added "Replies to your topics" as well in the listing at the bottom of the main index. You can also make ordered lists in BBCode now, ie:
would appear as:

Ah, good! The "Today's posts" haven't been working since the switch, so hopefully the "Active Topics" now will. |

Say, chris, some of the pages when you edit them (on the test2 skin--I haven't looked on the others) give you the option of putting in the 'reason for the edit' while others don't. I know that the lounge thread doesn't, for example, but the movie randomness thread does. No rush dealing with it -- but it might be nice to have the option to put in the reason for the edit in all the threads or else remove it entirely from them for consistency's sake. |

Speaking of this editing function. I liked it when it was automatically set so that no "post edited" (let alone a reason for it) message showed up and cluttered a post. Now you have to manually uncheck those buttons (in two steps), instead of the other way around. |

Even though there is a delete button at the bottom of your posts, you cannot delete your posts unless you have moderator access. (You could do that with the old system.)

The Zeta board people have added the ability for members to decide if they want to go to the first page of a thread, or to the first unread post in a thread to the preferences.
There were some other things they've done as well, but from what I've read, most of them are related to stuff the admins can do and not specifically designed as features for members... |

Just thought I'd mention that I'd added the regular Enterprise actors' birthdays to the calendar (as well as Gary, Jeff and Vaughn's) on the board last night... The only one that it wouldn't let me do (for whatever reason) as a repeating event was Dom's--it absolutely refused to show up on the calendar with the notation that it 'repeats yearly'--but it showed up just fine when I put it in as a single event. Guess that's part of the calendar glitches that the zeta boards people are still working on fixing... |

For those interested, the Zeta Boards people have added some new features to the board, as of yesterday.
I know the first one on the list is one I'm going to use, since I really don't need to keep PMs from two years ago about the convention in Cleveland, LOL... The 'delete' button is at the bottom of the PM archive page. |
